Niger Visa Requirements and Travel Documents for Dallas, TX Travelers

U.S. citizens need a visa to enter Niger and should obtain that visa before traveling. Travelers should not plan on arriving first and completing a normal tourist visa process at the border. Visa instructions should be reviewed carefully because application procedures can change, and the traveler should make sure the passport used for the application is valid and ready before submitting documents. Niger also requires proof of yellow fever vaccination for travelers who meet the applicable age requirement.

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST VISA

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
• One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
• One Passport Type Photograph
• Proof of Accommodation (hotel confirmation or a signed letter from the host in Niger stating the nature of accommodation).
  NOTE: If you submit signed letter from the host in Niger, please submit one of the following: copy of the National ID (if the invitor is a Niger citizen) OR copy of the passport and re-residence visa (applicable if the invitor is NON-Niger citizen).
• Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
• World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccinations against Yellow Fever (ORIGINAL Card)
• For minor applicants (under 21 years old) – submit the following additional documents: A) copy of the child’s birth certificate showing the parents name, B) a  signed the letter of authorization from the parents is only needed if one parent is not applying for a visa. If both parents are applying for a visa then a copy of the itinerary will be sufficient (with the parents names).  This letter does need to be notarized.

BUSINESS VISA

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
• One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.

• Business Letter from U.S. company
• Travel Authorization OR Letter from the US Government (applicable for contractors for the US Government)
• World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccinations against Yellow Fever (ORIGINAL Card)
