A valid passport and visa are required to visit Ghana.

GHANA TOURIST VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
One (1) Visa Application Form completed and signed
Two (2) Passport Type Photographs
International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of round trip airline ticket
AA Passport Service order form
If visiting religious organization, submit Letter of Invitation from the inviting party in Ghana
For Minor Applicants (under 18 years old), a copy of the applicant’s Birth Certificate with the names of both parents is required, as well as a NOTARIZED “parental consent” signed by both parents/legal guardians (this applies regardless of whether parents/legal guardians are traveling with applicant) and copy of the parents identification (like passport data page or driver’s license).

GHANA BUSINESS VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
One (1) Visa Application Form completed and signed
Two (2) Passport Type Photographs
International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever

Letter of Invitation from Sponsor in Ghana (fax or scanned copy)
Business Letter from U.S. company
AA Passport Service order form

Valid and signed U. S. Official or Diplomatic Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
One (1) Visa Application Form completed and signed
Two (2) Passport Type Photographs
AA Passport Service order form
Letter from sending department or agency, addressed to: Embassy of Ghana, Visa Section, Washington D.C. The letter must explain all of the following: Applicant’s position and title, Purpose of the trip, Dates of the intended travel and Contact person in Ghana
