Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST VISA

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
  • Two Passport Type Photographs
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
  • Invitation Letter from Sponsor in Mali
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • AA Passport Service order form

BUSINESS VISA

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
  • Two Passport Type Photographs
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • For DOD (Department of Defense) contractors, please submit “Letter of Authorization” issued by the DOD
  • Business letter or invitation must come from the CONTACT PERSON/ORGANIZATION in Mali and must be in FRENCH language.  Fax or scanned copy is accepted by the Embassy.  Letter must explain the following:
    1) A brief explanation of the inviting organization in Mali (what is the nature of the business in Mali)2) A brief explanation of the company here in the USA, explaining the relationship between the inviter and the inviting organization in Mali, and also the nature of business to be performed of the US company in Mali.3) Name and address of reference to be visited4) Name of the applicant, nationality, passport details, what is his nature of business in Mali (example if he is doing aircraft maintenance, etc.)5) The letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required and guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
    6) The letter should be signed by an officer of the company in Mali.
