Qatar – Passport and Visa Required

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST VISA

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
  • Two (2) colored passport type photographs
  • Letter of invitation stating the reason for the visit to Qatar
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • AA Passport Service order form
  • Two copies of your passport’s vital page
  • Letter from the applicant stating the reason for the visit to Qatar.

MISSION VISA (For U.S. government contractors)

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • One Visa Application Form completed and signed. Application on thermal fax paper is not accepted. The application form must have original signature.
  • Two (2) colored passport type photographs
  • Business letter written on your company’s letterhead addressed to the Embassy of Qatar. This letter should indicate the applicant’s name, position in the company, nature of business to be conducted in Qatar, name and address of contact in Qatar, length of stay and the number of entries requested.  It should also state that the company would be financially responsible for the applicant’s living expenses including roundtrip transportation, and should be signed by someone other than the applicant.
  • A Letter from Department of Defense or Us Airforce, the letter should include the reason of the travel, contracting company, if the travel Is not urgent we cannot accept the application, so the travel must be urgent and the mission cannot be postponed.  The letter should include the airport the individuals are leaving from , and the airport they will arrive to, the type of airplane used, travel dates, and their DOD no. embassy prefers to have all applicants on one letter in a table form.
  • AA Passport Service order form
  • Two copies of your passport’s vital pageNOTE: When you travel to Qatar, please bring your military ID or Letter of Authorization issued by the US Department of Defense (DOD)
