Burundi – Passport and Visa required
Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens
TOURIST
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
- Two Passport Type Photographs
- World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccination against Yellow Fever
- Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of round trip airline ticket
- For visitors: An invitation letter by family members or friends is required.
- For tourists: Proof of hotel reservation and a round trip ticket or a letter from a Travel Agency is required.
- AA Passports Visas Service Order Form
BUSINESS
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
- Two passport type photographs
- World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccination against Yellow Fever
- Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of round trip airline ticket
- Letter of invitation on letterhead from a host company or organization in Burundi. Invitation should detail intended dates of arrival and departure from the country, your name and passport number, and request any special visa conditions (Multiple Entries visa) if required. Fax or scan is accepted.

- AA Passports Visas Service Order Form
OFFICIAL / DIPLOMATIC
- Submit your U.S. Official or Diplomatic Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity
- Two Visa Application Forms fully completed and signed
- Two Passport-type photographs required
- AA Passports Visas Service Order Form
- Letter from sending department or agency, confirming the purpose of travel and dates of the intended visit.
- World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccination against Yellow Fever
