AA Passport & Visa Expedite Services provides Indian passport renewal assistance in Dallas, Richardson, and throughout the DFW Metroplex. Indian passport renewal is officially processed as a re-issue of passport through the Government of India Passport Seva system and VFS Global. Our team can help you prepare the online application, supporting documents, photographs, and other requirements before submission.
Texas residents fall under the Consulate General of India in Houston. Under the current 2026 process, applicants must complete the Government of India application through the GPSP 2.0 portal and then complete the VFS Global submission process. A compliant photograph, scanned signature, and required supporting documents must be uploaded before the application is submitted to VFS. Regular and eligible Tatkal Indian passport renewal options are available depending on the applicant and type of request. Call 972-231-1600 for assistance.

Online/card payments may also have a 3.75% convenience charge. AA Passport & Visa service fees, document preparation, photographs, shipping, and other optional assistance are separate from Government of India and VFS fees.
One important point: Tatkal is not available for every type of passport case. VFS specifically excludes categories including lost/stolen passports, passports damaged beyond recognition, certain name/date/place-of-birth changes, and other specified cases.

Indian passport renewal is processed as a re-issue of passport. Dallas and Texas residents must complete the Government of India online passport application and then complete the submission process through VFS Global under the Houston Consulate jurisdiction. An Indian passport is normally valid for 10 years for adults. VFS states that an application for re-issue can be made up to one year before the current passport expires, so you do not need to wait until the last six months. Renewal may also be required because of exhausted pages, personal-detail changes, damage, loss, or other eligible circumstances.
Requirements typically include the completed online passport application, current original Indian passport and required copies, photographs, proof of valid U.S. status, proof of U.S. address, Annexure E, and other documents applicable to the applicant’s circumstances. Under the current GPSP 2.0 process, applicants must also upload the required photograph, signature, and supporting documents online before submission.
For an adult 36-page passport, the current regular total through VFS is $146, consisting of a $125 passport fee, $2 ICWF contribution, and $19 VFS fee. Eligible Tatkal service totals $271 for a 36-page adult passport. Jumbo booklets and minor passports have different fees, and card convenience charges may apply. AA Passport service fees are separate.
Tatkal is available for many eligible Indian passport re-issue applications, but some categories are excluded. Cases involving a lost or stolen passport, severe damage, certain personal-detail changes, or other specified situations may not qualify. Eligibility should be confirmed before selecting Tatkal.
