TOURIST VISA
  • Original Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Copy of the passport data page
  • One Online Visa application form – MUST be completed on-line (print and sign the form).  Note: Follow the step by step online instructions. Online payment is required for 1st time application.
    Your application must be submitted online and the appropriate Consular fee paid for by credit card online ($160.00) – this is a separate fee from the processing fee charged by the embassy/consulate upon submission of the visa application.  When confirmed, please print a copy of your (1) Visa Application Form, (2) Visa Acknowledgement Slip, (3)  Visa Payment Slip and/or Payment Receipt from Google Checkout then mail all three to Travel the World Visas for processing, along with all other requirements.  Be sure to select New York as the processing location on the visa application form.
  • Two (2) passport type photographs
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • Letter of invitation from sponsor in Nigeria. NOTE: If you do not have a letter of invitation, please provide a hotel reservation (Fax or Scanned copy)
  • If applicant’s sponsor is Nigerian citizen, provide copy of the personal data page of the sponsor’s Nigerian passport, OR, if sponsor is U.S. citizen, please provide copy of the sponsor’s residence permit and copy of his/her passport (personal data page)
  • Copy of the most recent bank statement
  • AA Passport Visas Service Order Form

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18:

Children of US Parents:

  • Copy of birth certificate of child showing both parents names.
  • Copies of both parents passports (bio data page)
  • Signed, notarized letter of consent by both parents

Children of Nigerian Parents:

  • Signed, notarized letter of consent by both parents
  • Copies of both parents passports (bio date page)

 

BUSINESS VISA
  • Original Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Copy of the passport data page
  • Two (2) passport type photographs

  • Copy of letter of invitation from the sponsor in Nigeria ( (Fax or Scanned copy). It should be on company letterhead, stating the name of the applicant, purpose of trip, number of entries requested, duration of stay, and must be signed by the manager or supervisor of the company.  IMPORTANT: The letter must indicate that the sponsor will be financially responsible and will take care of the immigration matter while the traveler is in Nigeria.
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • Copy of the most recent bank statement
  • Business Letter from U.S. company

STR (Subject to Regularization)
NOTE: Dependent children under the age of 18 years old could be issued a STR visa.  If the accompanying child is 18 years old and above, the dependent child must apply for a tourist visa.

Note: STR Visas are issued with approved stay for a period of two (2) years BUT are renewable in Nigeria (subject to approval).

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • 4 passport type photographs
  • 4 copies of the employment offer letters
  • 4 copies of formal letter for STR visa from the company on behalf of the applicant
  • 4 copies of the diploma (degrees, and certificates earned)
  • 4 Copies of resume
  • 4 copies certificate of incorporation of the Nigerian company.
  • 4 copies of company memorandum & article association
  • 4 copies of corporate affairs particulars of directors and their shear holdings thereof: (CAC FORMS 2 & 7)
  • 4 Copies of business permit issued by the Ministry of interior (for companies that have foreign shareholders)
  • 4 Copies of current monthly quota utilization returns as endorsed by the Immigration Service.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 & ACCOMPANYING SPOUSE, PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING:

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Marriage license in case of accompanying spouse
  • Notarized signed letters of consent from both parents
  • Photocopies of the parents’ passports (bio-data page) or valid ID MUST accompany the application.

TWP (Temporary Work Permit)

Note: TWP Visas are issued with a maximum approved stay of ninety (90) days from date of entry BUT are renewable in Nigeria (subject to approval).

  • Letter of employment stating position
  • Applicant’s letter of acceptance
  • Temporary Work Permit document  – This document is obtained by the employer from the Nigeria Immigration Service in Nigeria on behalf of the employee; the applicant must provide this document when submitting the visa application to the Consulate
  • A letter of introduction/invitation stating position from the host organization in Nigeria. This must be addressed to The Consulate General of Nigeria. It must be on letter headed paper stating the address of the host organization, the reason for the visit and must be signed and dated.
  • Copy of Comptroller General of Immigration’s approval cable visa that lists the applicant’s name
  • Copy of the most recent bank statement

Yes. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Nigeria. You must have received the yellow fever vaccine and carry your International Certificate of Vaccination also known as the yellow card. This is a hard requirement and entry will be denied without it.
