Visa Requirements for South Korea
U.S. citizens do not require visa to enter Korea for tourist or business purposes for a maximum stay of 90 days. Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) is required. For over 90 days stay, visa is required.
TOURIST VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
- One colored Passport Type Photograph
- AA Passport Service order form
BUSINESS VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
- One colored Passport type photograph
- Business Letter from U.S. company
- AA Passport Service order form
MILITARY VISA (SOFA)
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
- One colored Passport type photograph
- Business letter from the company requesting to issue a SOFA visa and indicate the reason why you need a SOFA visa (applicable to civilian contractors)
- Travel Order or LOA (example: letter from the Department of Army, Department of Navy, etc.)
- Applicant’s military identification (ORIGINAL)
- AA Passport Service order form
