Taiwan – Passport and Visa Required
Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens (Consular Jurisdiction Service Area: Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC)
- U.S. citizens do not require visa to enter Taiwan for tourist or business purposes for a maximum stay of 90 days (no extension permitted).
- U.S. Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and traveler must hold confirmed ticket (and valid visa, if applicable) to next destination country and must have no record of law violation.
- For over 90 days stay, visa is required.
TOURIST VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- One Visa Application Form completed online
- Two Passport Type Photographs
- Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
- Letter explaining purpose of trip and plans for the stay in Taiwan
- Copy of your Hotel Confirmation is required
- A copy of the applicant’s recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.
- AA Passport Service order form
BUSINESS VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
