UAE Visa on Arrival and Passport Requirements for Dallas Travelers
U.S. passport holders can currently receive visitor permission on arrival in the United Arab Emirates, allowing stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period under the latest travel guidance. Travelers need a passport with at least six months of validity beyond arrival. The UAE does not accept the 12-page U.S. emergency passport for entry, and current rules also restrict accepted passport sex markers.
AA Passport & Visa Expedite Services helps travelers in Dallas, Richardson, and the DFW area prepare their passport before visiting Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or other parts of the UAE. If your passport is expired, damaged, an emergency passport, or too close to expiration, our team can help you review renewal or replacement options before departure. For UAE passport and travel-document assistance, call 972-231-1600.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do U.S. citizens need to apply for a UAE tourist visa before travel?
U.S. passport holders can currently receive visitor permission on arrival rather than applying for a standard tourist visa in advance. If you need passport renewal or replacement before your United Arab Emirates (UAE) trip, AA Passport & Visa Expedite Services can help at 972-231-1600.
How much passport validity do I need?
Your passport should have at least six months of validity beyond arrival. Check the expiration date and blank pages before booking or applying. Renew early if needed so your passport details remain consistent across the rest of your travel paperwork.
Can I enter the UAE with a 12-page U.S. emergency passport?
No. Current UAE rules do not accept the 12-page U.S. emergency passport for entry. Review the requirement before departure and make sure it matches your passport and itinerary. Keeping the supporting documents organized can reduce delays during check-in or border processing.
How long can I stay in the UAE?
Current guidance allows U.S. passport holders visitor stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Plan your departure within the authorized period and do not assume an extension is automatic. If your itinerary changes, review the extension rules before your permitted stay expires.
Can AA Passport help before my UAE trip?
Yes.
